This was challenging to me, i wanted to make someone that seemed like they could be really messed up mentally prior to becoming hyper-active. I hope i pulled this off.
Sometimes creating a universe is hard
by Andeh on July 13, 2011 at 11:09 pmI give the masters of comic books a lot of respect. I’ve ran into a few snags while writing this run. I mainly get stuck wanting to write a team book when its a showcase series about multiple characters in a new world.
This doesn’t mean I’m quitting, I’m still hard at work reworking some of the planning deciding which characters to showcase in what order. There’s a lot to think through. As seen in the last installment we intro’d the first villain, I wanna keep him as an underlying threat he’ll probably pop up again later, he served his purpose introducing evil to the universe, where there is one there is always many.
In any allotted space the vocation of good cannot exist without the existence of evil. This of course is also true in comics as well. The next installment in the PGU will tackle this actually. I thought about this for a while, and decided just because one scruffy looking Super decided to wear tights and become the modern meta messiah, does not mean other Hyper-active humans would suddenly want to dress up to fight crime. No, i feel that for that to happen you’d need a reason to be good. What “evil” compels you to do the opposite?
THis week we will meet PGU’s very first Super villian, I hope that you all will like this character, or rather dislike ir, since it is a bad dude. I’m having a lot of fun creating this universe, I hope you find our universe to be fun too.
Keep scurvy clean!
